Default After lvl 20

I got guild wars trilogy and been playing quite a while now. Reached Lvl 20 a few weeks ago and i'm starting to get a bit bored.

Am I missing something? I seem to be wandering around mindlessly pressing '2' at stuff with no real aim or goal but to finish the quest I'm on to get experience which goes towards.....well.... nothing!!!

What am I missing here? Is there more to it than just doing the quests now?

Levels don't mean anything in this game - getting to level 20 should be over quickly. The whole point of GW is enjoying the story; going through each mission and following the storyline. If you're only spamming one skill, there's something really wrong with your build - guildwars = buildwars, guild wars is a tactical game, and part of that is setting up the most effective builds for you and your heroes to tackle each area. After you've finished every campaign, EotN, and all the 'beyond' content, you can then run through dungeons and areas on hard mode to collect titles, and fill up your HoM, collecting elite armor and rare weapons.

+1 Couldent have put it better myself.

Set yourself some goals.. Armor you really like, and weapons skins dyed to the colour you like. Check Guild Wars Wiki out if you have not already. You can type " /wiki " in Guild Wars chat and it will take you straight to it. example.....

/Wiki Armor

Have all the Elite skills yet for every class in every campaign OP? Did you beat every campaign and the expansion? Did you roll a few of the character classes? Eye of the North has content exclusively for level 20's, including dungeon content all to be done at level 20 in Normal Mode and Hard Mode. This game doesn't actually start til after level cap really. Go play it all, and on multiple classes.

Did you start Pvp'ing yet? Roll a level 20 PvP only character and jump into Random Arenas. Also, Canthan New ear is happening right now. Go into Roller Beetle Racing or the Dragon Arena. Watch the Dragon festival and get cool prizes.

Seems you got stucked in story. Find your campaign in the list and follow the story line.
Prophecies
Factions
NightFall

The often problem is that people don't notice there's a "Start mission" button.

There is soooooooo much more to the game than what I understand that you've experienced.

Number one; DEFINITELY set yourself some goals. I've been mucking around doing numerous things. I've finished all the campaigns on my main, not finished the extra content, nowhere NEAR getting GWAMM, but I'm enjoying myself while I'm doing it.

For example, my current goal is to finish all the dungeons in EotN in hm. Halfway there!

The game begins once you reach level 20.

Well, if you've:-
  • completed all three campaigns (missions/bonuses) in NM & HM
  • completed all higher end PvE content (UW, FoW, DoA, the Deep, Urgoz) NM & HM
  • completed all EotN content (missions/dugeons) in NM & HM
  • completed WiK, HotN, and WoC
  • completed Sorrow's Furnace
  • completed the Titan's quests
  • done any PvP you might be interested in
  • have all the armour styles you like

... and if you're not interested in chasing after any titles say for your HoM or just for the hell of it, then perhaps you could roll a new profession and start over, maybe in a different campaign.

I'm sure I've left some things out on the above list, but it's all I can think of right now - and the HM (Hard Mode) is of course optional. As others have said, set yourself some goals and go for it, will help to keep you focussed.

Of course if you're not having fun doing any of the above, then might be time for a break.

Cheers.
